Presley Gerber’s death has placed his family back at the center of public attention, but the Crawford-Gerber story is much larger than a single news cycle. Presley was Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s only son and the older sibling of model and actress Kaia Gerber.
Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber
Crawford and Rande Gerber married in 1998 and raised two children. Crawford built a global modeling career, while Rande became known as a businessman and entrepreneur. Their family generally kept private matters away from the spotlight.
Presley and Kaia
Both siblings entered modeling. Presley began young, while Kaia developed a major career in fashion and later acting. Their shared family background meant their careers were often discussed together, even though each built an individual public identity.
A Family Becoming More Open
Recent coverage has highlighted Kaia’s decision to speak publicly about the impact of addiction on the family. That openness offered more context for Presley’s own willingness to discuss mental health and recovery.
What the Family Has Asked For Now
Following Presley’s death, a family representative asked for privacy during what was described as a very difficult and painful time. That request remains important context for why some details are private.
