UNITED STATES — The Whisper Man is still one of the top movies on Netflix right now for U.S. subscribers, holding a mid-chart spot on daily rankings after leading the weekly English film list earlier in September.
The thriller stars Adam Scott as a father shaken by his son’s abduction, with Robert De Niro and Michelle Monaghan in key roles. It is adapted from Alex North’s novel and became a major viewership driver when it first hit No. 1 on Netflix’s English film chart.
Why it is still charting
Crime thrillers often have long tails on Netflix. After an opening surge—Netflix Tudum reported tens of millions of views in its strongest week—the title settled into the broader Top 10 as new releases such as Why Did I Get Married Again? took the very top slot.
Should you watch it?
If you like tense missing-child mysteries with heavyweight casts, it is one of the stronger recent Netflix film options still easy to find on the service. Spoiler-sensitive viewers should go in cold.
